Conclusion
This contribution concludes with following proposals:
Proposal 1: Update the component #4 in the basic FG 60-1 to “Support of UL transmissions [and/or] DL receptions across SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols in different slots (each transmission/reception within a slot has either all SBFD or all non-SBFD symbols), where the transmissions or receptions are restricted to SBFD symbols or non-SBFD symbols (Configuration 1)”

Proposal 2: The component 2, which says “Support of UL transmission in one UL subband and DL reception in one[/two] DL subband in SBFD symbols” remains inside the basic FG 60-1 (i.e., remove yellow highlight).

Proposal 3: The component #3 “Support of link direction determination based on configured/scheduled transmissions/receptions and collision handling” is moved from the basic FG60-1 to become a separate FG.

Proposal 4: RAN1 discusses whether to introduce a component into FG60-1 to let UE report the maximum number of TDD carriers on each of which an uplink subband is allocated.

Proposal 5: Treat SBFD random access Option 1 as the default, i.e., FG 60-3 is a prerequisite of FG 60-4.

Proposal 6: Define a new FG for L1-SRS-RSRP measurement in SBFD symbols and reporting.
Take existing FG 17-2 as a reference.
Prerequisite: FG 60-1

Proposal 7: Define a new FG for FDM-ed simultaneous receptions of DL signals/channels and L1-SRS-RSRP measurement resource in SBFD symbols.
Take existing FG 17-4 as a reference.
Prerequisite: FG 60-1, new FG in Proposal 6

Proposal 8: Define two new FG’s for L1-CLI-RSSI measurement in SBFD symbols and reporting, one for measurement in downlink subband and another for measurement in uplink subband, as following:
Take FG 17-1 as a reference.
Prerequisite: FG 60-1

Proposal 9: Define a new FG for simultaneous receptions of DL signals/channels and L1-CLI-RSSI measurement resource in SBFD symbols.
Take existing FG 17-3 as a reference.
Prerequisite: FG 60-1, any of two new FGs in Proposal 8

Proposal 10: Define a new FG for UL resource muting in SBFD symbols:
UE uses a FG component to report whether to support the dynamic turn-on and turn-off of UL resource muting by TDRA field in DCI.
UE use a FG component to report the maximum number of symbols that can be muted in a slot, selected from {1,2}.
Prerequisite: FG 60-1

Proposal 11: RAN1 defines a new FG for a given UE operation within SBFD symbols, if both of following conditions are met:
Condition 1: There is an existing UE feature, defined in legacy spec, for the given UE operation in non-SBFD symbols.
Condition 2: The given UE operation follows separate configurations between SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols.

Title:	UE-features for SBFD
Document for:	Discussion, Decision

Conclusion
In the previous sections we made the following observations:
Observation 1	Using the same component names or descriptions for contradictory capabilities in different FGs opens for ambiguous interpretations and is bad practice. If Configuration 2 is not specified (which there is no need for), there is no difference.
Observation 2	RAN1 agreements clearly states that Configuration 1 is used for Msg3 repetitions.
Observation 3	Option 1 and Option 2 target different UE types and therefore, per agreement, a UE is not expected to support both options.
Observation 4	Support for ROs across both SBFD and non-SBFD symbols is a network configuration but should not be a separate UE-capability to avoid capability mismatch.

Based on the discussion in the previous sections we propose the following:
Proposal 1	RAN1 to strive to keep the number of UE-features small for SBFD.
Proposal 2	Include support for Configuration 1, including determination of valid symbol type, in the basic FG (Alt. 1).
Proposal 3	Include support for separate UL configurations for SBFD and non-SBFD symbols in the basic FG (Alt. 1).
Proposal 4	Include support for DL reception in two non-contiguous DL subbands in basic FG (Alt. 1).
Proposal 5	Include support for separate CSI reports for SBFD and non-SBFD symbols, including the determination of subbands for CSI reporting, in basic FG (Alt. 1).
Proposal 6	Include support for DL partial PRG in basic FG (Alt. 1).
Proposal 7	Include support for transmissions and receptions across SBFD and non-SBFD symbols in a single FG for both UL transmission and DL reception (Alt. 1).
Proposal 8	Include support for determination of transport block size of PDSCH/PUSCH subject to valid symbol type, FDRA in DCI and SBFD configuration, in basic FG.
Proposal 9	For FG X-1a, change Component name to ‘1. Support of multi-slot UL transmissions or DL receptions in either SBFD symbols or non-SBFD symbols in different slots’.
Proposal 10	For FG X-2, change Component name to ‘1. Support of multi-slot UL transmissions in both SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols in different slots’ and ‘2. Support of multi-slot DL receptions in both SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols in different slots’.
Proposal 11	For both FGs X-1a and X-2, change consequence description to ’Multi-slot transmission and reception in both SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols in different slots is not supported’.
Proposal 12	Configurations 1 and 2 does not apply to PRACH or RAR.
Proposal 13	A UE supporting the single RACH configuration needs to support at least Configuration 1 (Alt. 1).
Proposal 14	Support separate FGs for the single and additional RACH configurations.
Proposal 15	Support of a valid RO across SBFD and non-SBFD symbols is a component of the FG for SBFD random access based on the additional RACH configurations (Option 2) (Alt. 1).
Proposal 16	PRACH preamble repetitions and Msg3 repetitions for the single RACH configuration are determined by the corresponding legacy UE-features for PRACH preamble and Msg3 repetitions.
Proposal 17	A separate FG is introduced for PRACH repetitions related to the additional RACH configuration.
Proposal 18	Include support for Msg3 repetitions as a component in FG X-4.

Title:	Discussion on UE features for evolution of NR duplex operation
Agenda Item:	9.15.3
Document for: Discussion and Decision
Conclusion
In this contribution, we discussed UE features for Rel-19 duplex evolution enhancements. We have following proposals:
Proposal 1: Support following as part of the basic FG for SBFD (60-1):
Support of separate UL configurations for SBFD and non-SBFD symbols
Support of DL reception in two non-contiguous DL subbands should be part of basic FG at least for PDSCH
Supported maximum number of partial PRGs in SBFD symbol
FFS: candidate values
Support of separate CSI reports for SBFD and non-SBFD symbols

Proposal 2: Whether following should be part of basic FG or separate FG can be further discussed, and it is preferred to include them as part of basic FG.
Support of separate configurations for optional UE features
Support of CSI-RS in two non-contiguous DL subbands
Whether UE supports legacy CSI processing timeline or scaled CSI processing timeline for one contiguous CSI-RS resource allocation across two DL subbands is also reported.

Proposal 3: For the basic FG for SBFD (60-1), the reporting type is per UE or per band.
Proposal 4: For FGs for SBFD random access operation:
UE supporting SBFD random access needs to support at least Option 1, i.e. 60-3 should be prerequisite of 60-4.
Support of valid RO across SBFD and non-SBFD symbols should be reported as part of FG 60-4.
Support of PRACH repetition in additional ROs should be single separate FG (e.g., as FG 60-5), without further separation between RACH configuration option 1 and option 2.
Whether to introduce a separate FG for support of Msg.3 repetition in SBFD symbols can be further discussed.
The reporting type for FG60-3/4/5 is per UE or per band.

Proposal 5: Support separate FGs for UL re-source muting for CP-OFDM waveform and DFT-s-OFDM waveform.
“Support semi-static configuration of time location and frequency location of UL muting symbols” including “Up to two UL muting symbols within a slot for PUSCH” and “A configurable comb offset {0, 1} for the UL muting symbols” should be component of the FGs.
“Support dynamic on/off of the configured UL muting symbols by TDRA field in DCI for DG-PUSCH and Type-2 CG PUSCH” should be component of the FGs.
“Support semi-static determination of UL muting symbols for Type-1 CG PUSCH” should be component of the FGs.
Reporting type is per UE or per band.

Proposal 6: Introduce one FG for support of L1 CLI-RSSI measurement and reporting.
The maximum of L1 CLI-RSSI measurement resources should be reported as component of the FG.
The supported resource types (resource type #1/#2/#3) should be reported as component of the FG.
Resource type #1 is supported by default.
The reporting type is per UE or per band.

Proposal 7: Introduce one FG for support of L1 SRS-RSRP measurement and reporting.
The maximum of L1 SRS-RSRP measurement resources should be reported as component of the FG.
The reporting type is per UE or per band.
