Agenda Item:	9.15.13

Title:	UE features for LTE based 5G broadcast Phase 2
Document for:	Discussion and Decision

Conclusion
We discussed the UE capability of time-interleaving and frequency-interleaving specified for LTE based 5G broadcast Phase 2 based on the agreements reached so far. What signalling carrying the UE capability is also discussed. The proposals are summarized here:
Proposal 1: For FG4-1 of time interleaving, UE reports the maximum supported value of M with candidate values of {16,32} and the maximum supported value of N with candidate values of {8,16}.
Proposal 2: No need to define separate FGs of time-interleaved broadcast for different numerologies.

Proposal 3: Including the UE capabilities of time-interleaving and frequency-interleaving into both UE-EUTRA-Capability and MBMSInterestIndication.
Implementing the capability into MBMSInterestIndication is up to RAN2.

Proposal 4: Refer to the following for the capability reporting in UE-EUTRA-Capability:

Conclusion
Based on the discussion above, request RAN1 to consider the following proposals:
Proposal 1: UE capability for Rel-19 LTE-based 5G Broadcast feature support with parameters for maximum supported values of M and N is optional with capability signalling.

Proposal 2: MBMS Interest Indication message includes a Rel-19 Information Element to convey UE’s interest and baseband resource capability corresponding to Rel-19 LTE-based 5G Broadcast. Rel-19 IE in MBMS Interest Indication message carries following parameters utilized for receiving Rel-19 LTE-based 5G Broadcast service(s):
Frequency
Sub-carrier spacing  = {2.5 kHz, 1.25 kHz}
Bandwidth = {n6, n15, n25, n30, n35, n40, n50, n75,n100}
Currently utilized value of M (i.e. Pmch-TimeInterleavingUsed-M) = {n4, n8, n16, n32…}

Features for time and frequency interleaving
In this contribution, we provide our views on UE features for time and frequency interleaving in 5G Broadcast, along with the necessary details that are relevant for these features.
Proposal 1: Define a UE feature that indicates support of Frequency Interleaving for 5G Broadcast
The feature has a granularity of “per band”, “per numerology”
The feature is optional with capability signaling.
Proposal 2: For the UE feature on time interleaving agreed in RAN1#120-bis
For component 4, “Maximum TBS supported in a TTI for MCH with time interleaving” (Alt 1) is specified
The feature has a granularity of “per OFDM numerology”
Based on the UE category, the UE indicates the maximum TBS supported in a TTI for MCH with time interleaving, from a set of candidate TBSs. FFS candidate TBSs
