Title:	Discussion on UE features for Rel-19 NES
Agenda Item:	9.15.4
Document for:	Discussion and Decision

Conclusions
In this contribution, we provided our views on UE features for Rel-19 NES. We have the following observation and proposals:
On-demand SSB

Proposal 1: For FG 61-3, support and modify component 2 as follows:
Supported on-demand SSB deactivation mechanisms:
Explicit indication of deactivation for on-demand SSB via MAC-CE for on-demand SSB transmission indication.
Deactivation via od-ssb-nrofBurst of on-demand SSB bursts to be transmitted after on-demand SSB is indicated.
Proposal 2: For FG 61-4 and 61-4a, supported deactivation mechanisms for FG 61-4 and FG 61-4a should include both of the following two options:
Explicit indication of deactivation for on-demand SSB via MAC-CE for on-demand SSB transmission indication.
Deactivation via od-ssb-nrofBurst of on-demand SSB bursts to be transmitted after on-demand SSB is indicated.

On-demand SIB1

Proposal 3: Adopt the following for FG 61-5:
For component 3, support reception of SIB1 in a window at least upon SIB1 request.
Introduce component 4, i.e. monitoring PDCCH for an OD-SIB1 message corresponding only to the SSB associated with the PRACH for UL-WUS or corresponding to each transmitted SSB.
The type of granularity should be Per UE.

Adaptation of common signal/channel transmissions

Proposal 4: Adopt the following for FG 61-7:
Keep the component 5 within FG 61-7.
Component 5 is changed to ’Support optional semi-static PRACH mask to identify the subset of additional resources’.

Conclusion
In this contribution, we presented our views on Rel-19 UE features for NES enhancements. Based on the discussion in this contribution, following proposals were made.

Proposal 1: Postpone the discussion on UE capability of supported deactivation mechanism for RRC based indication of OD-SSB until progress is made in RAN1 main session.
Proposal 2: For supported deactivation mechanism for MAC CE based indication of OD-SSB, at least MAC CE based deactivation should be included in each FG.
FFS after the details are agreed (e.g., the actual number, applicable scenario): Deactivation via Number N of on-demand SSB bursts to be transmitted after on-demand SSB is indicated
Proposal 3: For the prerequisites of FG 61-1/2/2a (i.e., FGs for RRC-based indication in case1, case2 with same freq., and case2 with different freq.), FG 61-3/4/4a should be a corresponding prerequisite FG respectively.

Proposal 4: Update the following FG for on-demand SIB1

Proposal 5: Component 5 in FG 61-7 for PRACH adaptation should be kept in the same FG as the other components.
