Conclusions
This contribution presents our views on Rel-19 UE features for LP-WUS. Our proposals are summarized in the following.
On the UE feature components of LP-WUS in IDLE/INACTIVE mode,
Component 2 and 5 are confirmed for both FG 62-1 and 62-1a
Component 3 and 4 are removed for both FG 62-1 and 62-1a
A note is added: a UE reporting support of this FG shall support offloading and relaxation
New components are added for both FG 62-1 and 62-1a, including
Support of M=1, 2 and 4, where M is the number of OOK symbols per OFDM symbol.
Support of both SCS 15kHz and 30kHz of CP-OFDM symbol embedded with LP-WUS for FR1 and both SCS 60kHz and 120kHz for FR2. The SCS of CP-OFDM symbol embedded with LP-SS is the same as that of LP-WUS. Both the bandwidths of LP-WUS and LP-SS are 11 PRBs.
Support of exit operation based on configured channel condition threshold.
Support of up to 31 number of subgroups per PO and up to 32 codepoint values per LO.
On the UE features of LP-WUS in CONNECTED mode,
Component 2 is updated as ‘support UE procedure based on both Option 1-1 and Option 1-2’.
Component 3 is confirmed
New components are added for both FG 62-2 and 62-2a, including
Support of M=1, 2 and 4, where M is the number of OOK symbols per OFDM symbol.
Support of both SCS 15kHz and 30kHz of CP-OFDM symbol embedded with LP-WUS for FR1 and both SCS 60kHz and 120kHz for FR2. The bandwidths of LP-WUS are 11 PRBs.
The maximum number of codepoints to be checked by UE per MO
Support of receiving LP-WUS within Active BWP.
New rows are added, for which the prerequisite feature groups is 62-2 and/or 62-2a
Support of UAI indication of additional [larger] offset where the offset is between the triggering LP-WUS and triggered PDCCH for LP-WUS in CONNECTED mode
The type (i.e., the granularity) of UE feature for LP-WUS is per band for single carrier operation in CONNECTED mode.
The table 1 in Appendix is adopted.

Title: Discussion on Rel-19 UE feature of LP-WUS in NR
Agenda Item: 9.15.5
Document for: Discussion and Decision
|
Conclusion
In this contribution, we have discussed the UE features for LP-WUS/LP-WUR triggering UE wakeup in NR for UE power saving with proposals as follows,
Proposal 1: The UE support of RRM measurements with relaxation for entry/exit condition of LP-WUS monitoring and RRM measurement offloading should be the component. The support of wakeup delay indication should be included in the component since the transition time from the power saving state to the NR operation state is different for LP-WUS receiver.
Proposal 2: The RRM measurements of LP-WUS OFDM receivers should not include the component of measurements based on LP-SS or SSB.
Proposal 3: The LP-WUS OOK receiver should support all specified M-values without UE capability
Proposal 4: The candidate value of minimum gap between the reception and PDCCH monitoring for UE in CONNECTED state should have candidate value 20 ms.
Proposal 5: The pre-requisite of the FG 62-3 should be the FG 62-2 or 62-3 that UE supported the LP-WUS in CONNECTED mode based on either OOK signal or OFDM overlaid sequence
We proposed to use Table 1for the UE feature for LP-WUS/LP-WUR triggering UE wakeup in NR for UE power saivng.

|
Conclusion
In this contribution, we had further discussed and analyzed lower power WUS/WUR UE features. We have following proposals:
Proposal 1: For both FGs of LP-WUS operation in IDLE/INACTIVE mode based on OOK signal and OFDM overlaid sequence, 2 components are introduced: The support of further RRM relaxation of UE MR; The support of serving RRM measurement offloading.
Introduce an FG for supported wake-up delay for the IDLE/INACTIVE mode, further decide the reporting of candidate delay values based on outcome of 9.6.2 discussion.
Proposal 2: Introduce an FG for supported wake-up delay for the CONNECTED mode, further decide the candidate delay values based on outcome of 9.6.3 discussion.
Introduce a component for multiple decoding codepoints for the CONNECTED mode into 2 FGs, further decide of candidate values.
Proposal 3: For FG 62-2, 62-2a and 62-3, confirm them as ‘per band’.

Conclusion
This contribution presents our views on Rel-19 UE features for LP-WUS, where the proposals are summarized in the following.
Proposal #1: Remove the component X (FFS: The support of SSB-based RRM measurement) in 62-1a and define the separate FG for SSB-based RRM measurement. The type of the new FG should be per UE.
Proposal #2: Keep component 3 (The support of further RRM relaxation of UE MR) and 4 (The support of serving RRM measurement offloading) in 62-1 and 62-1a.
Proposal #3: Define single separated FG for the supported procedure(s) in CONNECTED mode for both LP-WUR types. The type of this FG is per UE.
Proposal #4: Define the separate FG to indicate the maximum number of codepoint per MO for CONNECTED mode. The type of this FG is per band.
Proposal #5: The type of 62-2, 62-2a, and 62-3 is per band.

Conclusions
This contribution presents our views on Rel-19 UE features for LP-WUS, where the proposals are summarized in the following:
Proposals on FG 62-1: LP-WUS operation in IDLE/INACTIVE mode based on OOK signal
Component 2: Support of LP-SS based RRM measurement and/or SSB-based measurement is confirmed, as it is natural for a UE supporting OOK-based LP-WUS to also support these measurements.
Component 3 and 4: Support of further RRM relaxation of UE MR and support of serving RRM measurement offloading are important for maximizing UE power saving. A note is added that a UE reporting support of this FG shall support offloading and relaxation.
Component 5: Support of reporting of wake-up delay is a key feature. We propose the candidate values [70ms, 500ms, 900ms], with the final decision to be based on R4 LS reply.
M values: The M value (number of OOK symbols per OFDM symbol) is a key parameter. We support M = 1, 2, 4, and support all options.
Proposals on FG 62-1a: LP-WUS operation in IDLE/INACTIVE mode based on OFDM overlaid sequence
Component 1: Add “Note: The OFDM sequence can carry information.” Align with RP-241824, Revised WID.
Component 2: Support of LP-SS based RRM measurement is considered optional. The baseline assumption is that IDLE UE only operates in frequency locations around SSB for LR and MR, so LP-SS based RRM measurement may not be necessary for all UEs.
Component X: Support of SSB-based RRM measurement is supported.
Component 3 and 4: Support of further RRM relaxation of UE MR and support of serving RRM measurement offloading are supported.
Component 5: Reporting of wake-up delay is supported, with candidate values [70ms, 500ms, 900ms], with the final decision to be based on R4 LS reply.
M values: Support for combination with OOK, with M = 1, 2, 4.
Proposals on FG 62-1b: LP-WUS operation in IDLE/INACTIVE mode based on OFDM overlaid sequence not carrying information
Propose to revise component of FG 62-1a. We do NOT support LP-WUS operation in IDLE/INACTIVE mode based on OFDM overlaid sequence not carrying information.
Component 1: Not supported, as the OFDM overlaid sequence does not carry information. This is not the aggreed WID working scope.
Component 3: Minimum gap time between LP-WUS reception and MR to start PDCCH monitoring is for further study.
Component 5: Detection of LP-WUS information from binary OOK sequences only is not in the WID scope.
Proposal on FG 62-2: LP-WUS operation in CONNECTED mode based on OOK signal
M values: We support all M options, i.e., M = 1, 2, 4.
Proposal on FG 62-2a: LP-WUS operation in CONNECTED mode based on OFDM overlaid sequence
M values: Support for combination with OOK, with M = 1, 2, 4.
Proposal on FG 62-x: LP-WUS operation in CONNECTED mode based on OOK signal with an OFDM overlaid sequence
Component 1: Not supported. The overlaid OFDM sequence does not carry information, which conflicts with the harmonized design scope in the WID.
